►Shenandoah National Park is pleased to announce a great opportunity for earth science and geology teachers. Join us on August 11-12, 2009, for a hands-on teacher workshop that will introduce two brand new units of Exploring Earth Science in Shenandoah National Park: An Integrated Curriculum Guide for Grades 7-12. Several lessons meet Meaningful Watershed Education Experience (MWEE) requirements. The workshop includes field-based instruction on the two new units, Protecting Our Water Resources and The Changing Face of Stony Man, plus an overview of four other lesson plans in the curriculum guide. Reservations are required and space is limited to 20 participants. The workshop is FREE thanks to a grant from the Virginia Resource-Use Education Council.
